  • Former ECW World Champion and WWE Hardcore Champion Justin Credible is looking to make a full-time return to the ring this year. For the past few years, Credible has only worked part time, taking minimal bookings whenever he’s had the free time.
  • WWE is set to release a new WCW tribute DVD, and this time, it’s about one of the most popular match concepts of all time. On June 25th, WWE Home Video will release War Games: WCW’s Most Notorious Matches. The DVD is expected to be a compilation of the best War Games matches from WCW, although it is unclear if it will feature all of them or just a selected few. You should also expect comments from former stars who competed in the matches to be featured on the set as well.
  • Current WWE star Alex Riley celebrated his 32nd birthday today. Riley, who hasn’t been seen in months, was pulled off WWE television when the creative team couldn’t decide what or if they wanted to do anything with him for the time being. It is unknown when he will return to television, if he returns at all.
  • WWE Champion John Cena tweeted the following message after returning to the US from the recent European tour: Finally home from a great European tour. I’m banged up, but I’m not going to miss Monday Night #Raw. This is in regards to Cena reportedly tearing his right Achilles tendon on the tour. While the severity of the injury is still unknown, it appears WWE will be taking precautions at least this week by keeping Cena off television tomorrow night.
  • The Rock‘s reality game show The Hero will be debuting on TNT in the US in just a few weeks. Also, his most recent movie, Pain & Gain with Mark Wahlberg was the number one film at the box office this week, bringing in an estimated $20,000,000 USD during its opening weekend. However, it will be going up against Iron Man 3 next weekend, so don’t expect its box office supremacy to last.
  • Speaking of The Rock, there have been rumours that he may have wrestled his last match when he faced John Cena at Wrestlemania 29. During the match, Rock reportedly suffered an abdominal tear, and ended up missing the next night’s RAW taping, where he was expected to build up to a match with Brock Lesnar. Since then, rumours have been floating around that the injury was severe enough that Rock may have to officially retire from pro wrestling, and Rock himself has said the same thing.
