WWE News: Dates for Cruiserweight Classic announced, tickets go on sale from Friday

Cruiserweight Classic will throw a new door open for the indy wrestlers

WWE is conducting a tournament for the top cruiserweights present in the independent circuit. The tournament will be available on the WWE Network and it will feature major names in the cruiserweight division like Zack Sabre Jr., TJ Perkins, Noam Dar and Drew Gulak. WWE recently renamed the tournament as Cruiserweight Classic.

The initial qualifiers for the tournament were conducted at EVOLVE, RevPro and Progress. After grueling matches eleven cruiserweights including Zack Sabre Jr., TJ Perkins and Drew Gulak qualified for the tournament. The tournament will officially begin next month.

In accordance to that, WWE has officially announced the dates for the Cruiserweight Classic. The event will kick off next month and will be held in four different dates with roughly a month apart, to give the competitors enough time to recuperate. June 23, July 14, August 26 and September 14 were revealed as the dates of the WWE Cruiserweight Classic by Triple H via Twitter, yesterday.

Tickets will go on sale from Friday at 10 AM ET at NXTTickets.com. The event will also be premiered on WWE Network on Wednesday, July 13. WWE COO Triple H tweeted the following, yesterday.
