WWE News: Goldberg could be back as a wrestler according to Jim Ross

One last match?

WWE Hall of Famer and former WWE announcer, Jim Ross made some revelations that would bring a smile to any wrestling fans’ face. In his blog post, he suggested that former WWE and WCW star Bill Goldberg, or better known as just Goldberg, might step back into the ring again. J.R. wrote, and I quote:

"Bill Goldberg, representing WWE 2K17 will be in Brooklyn this weekend doing some promotional work for the video game but could we end up seeing more? Goldberg is in fighting shape and has publicly expressed that he would love to step back in the ring one more time, can you say Wrestlemania in Orlando? That feels like a long shot at best but it is certainly an intriguing idea that many fans would covet."

Goldberg was a massive star in WCW, where he won the WCW World Heavyweight Championship, WCW United States Championship, and the WCW World Tag-Team Championship with Bret Hart. While in the WWE, he was the one-time World Heavyweight Champion.

After being a monster in WCW, he was turned into a joke in a few weeks within coming to WWE, and yes I know he won the World Heavyweight Title, but compare it to his run in the WCW and you will understand why his time with the WWE was not so strong.

This lead to Goldberg not really leaving the company on good terms with WWE CEO Vince McMahon. However, keeping any personal issues aside, Mr. McMahon and Goldberg have really done what’s best for business with WWE 2K17.

WWE posted a video on Twitter in which Paul Heyman calls the cover boy Goldberg a supporting player, to which Brock Lesnar follows up with, “Hey Bill. You’re Next. In response to this, Goldberg took to Twitter to respond to the video by addressing Lesnar as a kid and told him to “keep dreaming”, and then wished Brock luck. Now, Goldberg’s going to be in Brooklyn for WWE 2K17’s promotion, and Brock’s having a match with “The Viper” Randy Orton at SummerSlam.

So, is Goldberg going to drop by the arena to say exchange greetings with Brock Lesnar? Who knows, right? But, Goldberg has said that he wants to have one last match just so that his son can see him wrestle. Well whatever the case may be, this feud is probably going to be a thing. So, let’s just cross our fingers and hope that this thing materializes.

What are your thoughts about this? Who do you personally think should be Goldberg’s opponent? Please tell us your thoughts by writing them down in the comments section below.
