WWE News:  Kane discusses the current WWE product and potential return

Glenn
Kane announced in March that he would run for mayor of Knox County, TN...

What's the story?

Glenn Jacobs, better known to the WWE Universe as Kane, recently did an interview with CBS's Chuck Carroll with regard to his current mayoral campaign. During the interview, Kane would talk about watching the current product and saying that he was impressed with Braun Strowman. He also talked about a potential return.

In case you didn't know...

This past March, Kane officially declared himself in the running for mayor of Knox County, Tennessee as a Republican. In the interview with Carroll, Kane stated he wanted to pursue politics on more of a local level for a bigger opportunity to make a difference.

The heart of the matter...

Kane stated that he catches a little of Monday Night Raw almost every week and is really happy to see Braun Strowman. He believes that the WWE is in good hands with the people who are carrying the flag for the company right now.

In regards to a potential return to the WWE, Kane would not dismiss it. He would answer with the following quote below:

"We have a saying in the WWE: never say never. So, I can’t answer that question."

The last time Kane was in a WWE ring was on the November 29th edition of Smackdown Live last year, when he took on Luke Harper. This was around the time that Kane and Randy Orton were feuding with the Wyatt Family, before Orton turned on Kane.

What's next?

The primary for the mayoral election in Knox County, Tennessee will occur on May 1, 2018. Election Day falls on August 2nd. Any sort of information with regard to Kane's chances of winning will not happen until that primary.

Author's take...

Kane is a very smart individual in all aspects, with pro wrestling being one of those subjects. It's great to see a veteran like Kane have high praise for Braun Strowman, a wrestler I think has had the best 2017 of anyone in the WWE.

At the age of 50, it is safe to say Kane's full-time WWE days are past him, but if loses the election, we could see the Big Red Machine make a return for a cameo in the future. It will be a while before that day comes though.
