WWE News: Kurt Angle's wife deletes previous tweet on his WrestleMania opponent, posts an update

What's the story?

Giovanna Angle had recently posted a tweet, voicing her displeasure on Baron Corbin being revealed as her husband's WrestleMania opponent.

She has now deleted the tweet and posted an update, stating that she is fine with Corbin being Angle's opponent at the show of shows.

In case you didn't know. . .

Kurt came out to the ring yesterday night and announced that he would be continuing his retirement tour with another match on Raw. But before the match, Angle made the long-anticipated announcement, revealing his WrestleMania opponent.

As an intrigued sea of fans listened with bated breath, Angle announced that he will wrestle Baron Corbin at WrestleMania.

The announcement was met with a mild reaction, both inside the arena as well as on social media. Angle's wife Giovanna responded to a tweet made by WWE Hall of Famer, Jim Ross.

Ross called the announcement "Underwhelming", to which she replied with a single word: "Very".

The heart of the matter

Giovanna Angle has deleted the previous tweet and has posted a new update.

She stated that she is completely fine with Baron Corbin being her husband's final opponent. Giovanna added that she's glad to see the support Kurt is getting from his fans.

What's next?

Kurt Angle and Baron Corbin are set to face off at MetLife Stadium in front of 80,000 roaring fans. With the kind of response the announcement got by fans worldwide, it wouldn't be a surprise if WWE makes some changes to Angle's match before WrestleMania rolls around.

The WWE Universe was speculating on John Cena being revealed as Angle's opponent, as they have history together, all the way to Cena's first match in WWE.
