What's the story?

Matt Hardy recently returned to WWE programming when he made a shocking comeback on the blue brand to join his brother Jeff Hardy in Tag Team action.

This came as a surprise to many since the last time Matt Hardy was contracted to the RAW brand before the Andre The Giant Battle Royal winner took a sabbatical of around 5 months before returning to SmackDown this past week.

In case you didn't know...

Matt Hardy returned to WWE at Wrestlemania 33 after being away from the company for quite some time. He returned along with his brother, The Charismatic Enigma Jeff Hardy and the two managed to win the RAW Tag Team Championships in a multi-man ladder match at The Grandest Stage of them all.

The Hardy Boyz, however, got split during the 2019 Superstar Shakeup as Jeff Hardy was drafted to SmackDown.

Hardy then had a long feud with Bray Wyatt which eventually culminated in the two joining hands and later becoming the RAW Tag Team Champions. Both, Bray Wyatt and Matt Hardy had disappeared from WWE ever since they lost their Championships.

The heart of the matter

Check out the video below to see what Matt Hardy has to say about what the future is for the Woken gimmick:

Matt Hardy reveals that he has learned to tame the Woken Warrior inside of him, and is now the MULTIFARIOUS Matt Hardy.

He also states that fans of his Broken Brilliance and Woken Wisdom should not get upset and that if the need arises even Matt Hardy V1 might re-emerge.

What's next?

Matt Hardy has always been known for the ability to re-invent himself and it will be interesting to see what The Hardy Boyz will have in store for them on SmackDown.
