The man that built the house on SmackDown Live will appear on Raw 25

What's the story?

Just days before the big Raw 25 extravaganza, the WWE announced several SmackDown stars that will appear on the special in New York City this Monday.

In case you didn't know...

Raw 25 will take place in two locations within New York City at the same time. Roughly an hour of the show will take place at the Manhattan Center, the original location of Monday Night Raw from 1993 to 1997. The rest of the show will take place at the Barclays Center, which has been home to the past three editions of SummerSlam.

The heart of the matter

Those from the blue brand will include the WWE Champion AJ Styles, The New Day, WWE SmackDown Women's Champion Charlotte Flair, WWE SmackDown Tag Team Champions The Usos, Daniel Bryan, and Shane McMahon.

Not included in this release is 'The Viper' Randy Orton, but Mike Johnson of PWInsider has confirmed that the 13-time World Champion will be a part of the festivities as well.

They join a massive list of former WWF and WWE Superstars who will be on hand including Stone Cold Steve Austin, Jim Ross, Jerry Lawler, The Undertaker, Shawn Michaels, Eric Bischoff, Ric Flair, Trish Stratus, and many more.

What's next?

We are just a few short days away from the Raw 25 celebration. In addition to the nostalgia, we will be treated to a WWE Intercontinental Championship match when Roman Reigns defends against The Miz.

Author's take

Every one of the SmackDown Live Superstars listed had a major part on Monday Night Raw at some point in their career, so it makes complete sense that they would appear on the special edition.

It's truly going to be a fun and special evening, and it serves as a great kickstart to Royal Rumble week when you include NXT Takeover: Philadelphia and the first women's Royal Rumble match ever.
