WWE News: The Rock reveals exact timeline when he could run for President

What’s the story?

In an interview with Variety, WWE Superstar The Rock revealed the exact timeline when he could run for President of the United States.

In reference to widespread speculation that The Rock could be vying for the POTUS seat in 2020, the Brahma Bull asserted that the 2024 Presidential elections would indeed be a more realistic consideration.

In case you didn’t know…

With the election of world-renowned reality TV star and businessman Donald Trump as President of the United States of America taking the political world by surprise a few months ago, the people of America have been speculating as to which other influential celebrity could possibly bag the POTUS seat in the next Presidential elections that take place in 2020.

Trump has held the seat since January of this year, and given his history of appearances on television shows, including WWE programming, the professional wrestling and entertainment communities have been lobbying for Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson to replace Trump by participating in the 2020 POTUS elections.

The heart of the matter

The Rock has previously confirmed that he’d love to serve as President Of The United States, however, only recently opened up on when the same would be possible—

“I couldn't do both (working in Hollywood and serving as President)."

"Realistically, as we go into 2018, when you look at my slate as we're developing and shooting into 2019 and 2020, the slate goes deep into 2021, so it feels like the realistic consideration would be 2024.”

Furthermore, The People’s Champion reiterated that although he has a considerably busy schedule ahead of time for the foreseeable future, he’d love to devote time and effort in order to serve as President for the people of the United States.

What’s next?

The next Presidential elections take place in the year 2020. Until then—provided that Mr Donald Trump isn’t impeached from the White House—he will indeed serve as POTUS.

The millions and millions of The Rock’s fans can expect the Great One to vie for the POTUS seat in the 2024 elections.

Author’s take

Well, one thing’s for sure, should Rock run for President—be it 2020 or 2024—the entire WWE Universe, as well as his legions of fans in Hollywood, would most definitely vote for him.

Besides, with someone as charismatic and straightforward as The Rock, there couldn’t possibly be a country that would not want him as President.
