Vince McMahon might have bitten off more than he could chew when he decided to mess with Kevin Owens. After booking a Hell In A Cell match for Shane McMahon and Kevin Owens, Vince McMahon received a cataclysmic headbutt from The Prizefighter. WWE has now issued an update on The Chairman Of The Board's status.
In case you didn't know...
Vince McMahon's son, Shane, and Kevin Owens have been at odds recently. It was speculated for weeks that the fans would eventually see Shane and Kevin tangle in a Hell In A Cell Match. Those assumptions were confirmed on the most recent episode of SmackDown Live.
The heart of the matter
After Vince McMahon was laid out thanks to a stiff headbutt from Owens, a couple of punches, a superkick, and a top rope Bullfrog Splash.
As Owens walked up the ramp looking proud of what he had accomplished, Stephanie McMahon rushed to her father's aide and didn't look happy with Kevin Owens in the slightest.
SmackDown Live ended this week with The Chairman Of The Board being helped up the ramp by WWE Officials and his daughter, Stephanie McMahon.
Plenty of fans were concerned that the 72-year-old owner of WWE would perform that kind of dangerous stunt. They were also worried about Vince McMahon's physical condition. After all, a headbutt like that could have caused a concussion to anyone, especially someone of McMahon's age.
WWE.com released a statement about Vince McMahon's reaction to the situation, which you can find below.
"WWE.com has learned that, following the attack, Mr. McMahon did not give comment and refused to be looked at by medical staff."
What's next?
Nothing will enrage Shane like a bloody Vince McMahon. Hell In A Cell is going to be a wild ride for Kevin Owens if Shane-O has anything to say about it.

You could tell they were gearing up for something special before that brutal headbutt. While KO and Vince were shaking hands, you could see McMahon was giving some kind of orders to Owens. The assault that followed was almost unprecedented and added a fresh layer to one of the best wrestling storylines in recent memory.
