What's the story?

After Raw went off the air, Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose, part of the newly reunited Shield, took on Sheamus and Cesaro in a dark match.

Wrestling Inc have reported that the WWE Raw Tag Team Titles were on the line in the match, and Rollins and Ambrose were able to keep hold of them following a victory.

In case you didn't know...

Rollins and Ambrose have been involved in a feud with Sheamus and Cesaro ever since they were able to win the WWE Raw Tag Titles from them.

Raw saw the unification of the Shield, as Roman, Seth and Dean finally got back together to reunite as The Shield. On the show, The Shield took out the Bar as well as The Miz.

The heart of the matter

After Raw went off the air, Rollins and Ambrose came out to defend their titles against The Bar. Before the match started, Seth Rollins had some fun as he put on Kalisto's elaborate jacket and started a Lucha chant.

The title match was fun and relaxed and went back and forth, but Cesaro and Sheamus were able to dominate most of the match, cornering Rollins. After Rollins managed to tag in Ambrose, they went on to retain their titles.

Post-match, the champions addressed the Indianapolis crowd and thanked them for the memories and for believing in The Shield.

What's next?

The Shield is set to take on Miz, Sheamus, Cesaro and Braun Strowman in a 4-on-3 handicap match at TLC in a Tables, Ladders and Chairs Match.

Indianapolis has bittersweet memories for The Shield as they debuted, broke up and reunited there. The newly reunited Shield will certainly make life more difficult for The Miz, and Sheamus & Cesaro, and they are set for a blockbuster match at TLC.
