WWE News: WWE to host a prelude to Global Cruiserweight Series at EVOLVE

WWE will be organising a Global Cruiserweight Series for the first time

Earlier this year, WWE EVP Triple H had announced that WWE will be hosting a Global Cruiserweight Series to determine the best Cruiserweight there is. Several wrestlers who are a part of another promotion, will also be allowed to become a part of this tournament. The 32-man tournament will begin on July 13 and be available on the WWE Network.

Recently, as per the reports of wrestlinginc.com, WWN Live announced today that EVOLVE Wrestling will be hosting the WWE Cruiserweight Classic Flashpoint, which will be a prelude to the tournament.

It will take place on June 11th in Orlando, Florida. The event is designed in such a way that it will help the fans to get acquainted with those involved in the WWE Network special Cruiserweight Series.

Several names have already been confirmed for the Flashpoint event including Johnny Gargano, TJ Perkins, Drew Gulak and Lince Dorado. More details about the event will be declared soon.

Many internationally reputed Cruiserweights have already declared their participation in WWE Global Cruiserweight Series. Zack Sabre Jr, Noam Dar, Akira Tozawa, Ho Ho Lun along with WWE NXT talents Rich Swann, Tommaso Ciampa and Johny Gargano will be a part of this tournament. Other possible participants include TJ Perkins, Jack Gallagher, Drew Gulak and Ricochet. The finals of tournament will be in September, this year.
