WWE RAW: Locker Room Talk – August 12, 2013

The Shield

The backstage area has played an important role in the WWE over the years. From earth shattering interviews to backstage brawls, they have been an integral part of the wrestling world.

So, we bring to you WWE RAW ‘locker room’, an article that highlights all the backstage segments on your favourite show:

The Shield

1) The Shield

In yet another typical Shield promo, Rollins and Ambrose talk about how the WWE veterans are all living in past glories and that the new generation is here to conquer the WWE.

They then issue an open challenge to any two-member team to face them at SummerSlam. Echoing the words of his team-mates, Ambrose talks about the 20-man battle royal match scheduled for later that night to determine the #1 contender for his U.S. title.

He also calls himself the ‘unbeatable’ champion and that his title is the most coveted one in the WWE, as the segment ends.

CM Punk

CM Punk and Paul Heyman

2) CM Punk

CM punk is asked by Josh Mathews about why he opted to face Paul Heyman this close to SummerSlam. Punk says that he is not afraid of Heyman. He also says that Heyman is not foolish to randomly pick to face Punk and that he may have a major plan behind the entire issue.

Punk also brings Lesnar into the picture and says that he is expecting to see that latter on RAW tonight. Summing it all up in his inimitable style, Punk says that he will win at SummerSlam and that ‘the beast is not the best’, but the ‘best is the best’.

Langston

Big E Langston

3) Big E Langston

A clip featuring Big E Langston from earlier in the show was played before his mixed tag team match. Langston teamed up with AJ Lee to face The Great Khali and Natalya.

Langston spoke about how Ziggler always wanted his support and how he never depended on the latter. Big E mocks at Ziggler’s arsenal now and says that he only has Kaitlyn to back him up. He also tells Ziggler that he will break him in half at SummerSlam just like how he beat him last week and it will be ‘show over’ rather than ‘show off’.

Total Divas

Natalya against the Bellas

4) Total Divas Slap-gate #2

The only set of differences between last week’s segment to this one is that Natlalya stood in the right last week and it was she who delivered the slap.

This week, The Bellas were interviewed by Josh Mathews backstage. They were asked if there was any power struggle between the Bellas and Natalya in the Diva’s locker room.

As the Bellas were talking about how supreme they were, Natalya interrupted them (from the left) and challenged Brie Bella for a match at SummerSlam.

The latter accepted it and duly returned last week’s favour (a tight slap) back to Natalya. The entire cast of Total Divas (minus JoJo) suddenly showed up and Eva chose the Bellas, whereas the Funkadactyls chose Natalya.

Christian

Christian

5) Christian

‘One more backstage interview’ of Christian claiming that he will beat Del Rio at SummerSlam is seen. A clip of Christian’s illustrious WWE career is shown on the screen as he is seen backstage.

He says that all he needed was ‘one more match’ and that he will beat Del Rio this Sunday at SummerSlam. Del Rio interrupts him and says something in Mexican, mocking Christian as the scene comes to an end.
