WWE Rumors: Why The Rock Was Backstage During RAW

What’s the story?

Monday Night RAW saw the return of Roman Reigns and a few legends on the show. However, there was one more WWE Legend in the building but was kept away from the camera.

The Rock was backstage but only to do interviews for the promotion of his move, 'Fighting With My Family'. He has produced the movie about WWE Superstar, Paige's life. It is just out and has got a great response so far.

In case you didn’t know…

RAW kicked off with Roman Reigns announcing that he is back after fighting leukaemia. Another important segment on RAW was the birthday celebration of Ric Flair.

WWE Legends like Shawn Michaels, Sting, and Kurt Angle were on the show to join in the celebration but it was Batista who stole the show. He attacked the 16-time champion to end the show and called out Triple H.

The heart of the matter

Rumours ahead of the show suggested that The Rock was going to be at RAW this week but nobody really knew why. Some suggested that he was joining in the celebration while others rightly claimed that he was just there to promote his movie.

Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful.com provided the update with a tweet after the show: “For those wondering, The Rock has been doing a lot of interviews for Fighting With My Family backstage.”

What’s next?

The Rock is not scheduled for any WWE event for some time. However, there are rumours that he will be a part of WrestleMania 35 but there is no news on what role he will be having. His appearance, for that matter, is also just a possibility and nothing is confirmed just yet.
