Another solid episode of SmackDown is in the books! 

Below are the results of the SmackDown LIVE tapings that are currently taking place at The O2 Arena in London, England. It should be noted that fire JBL chants are already echoing around the arena even before the show kicks off.

Tye Dillinger works a dark match with Aiden English before the show begins. The Perfect Ten sets the mood for the night by beating English in a breif match.

  • The Viper returns

  • WWE Champion Randy Orton opens the show and is quickly interrupted by no.1 contender Jinder Mahal and the Singh Brothers. Mahal shows photos of him with the WWE title on the Titantron.

Kevin Owens, AJ Styles, Baron Corbin and Sami Zayn interrupt the proceedings and a brawl breaks out between the superstars. The main event is thus made official – Randy Orton, Sami Zayn, and AJ Styles will team up to face Jinder Mahal, Baron Corbin and the WWE United States Champion Kevin Owens.


Becky Lynch vs. Natalya

The first match of the night has the Irish Lasskicker go up against Natalya. Natalya rolls up Lynch to pick up the win. It should be noted that Charlotte, Carmella, Tamina Snuka and WWE SmackDown Women’s Champion Naomi are all at ringside.

The babyface team of Naomi, Lynch, and Charlotte appear backstage after the match and issue a six-woman tag team match challenge for Backlash. A vignette hyping up the debut of Lana airs next.

A ‘Fashion Files’ segment airs featuring Fandango and Tyler Breeze hilariously dressed up as Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson.


Erick Rowan vs. Luke Harper

The former Wyatt Family members take on each other in a rematch from their recent live event encounters. Erick Rowan debuts his new finisher and finishes off Harper to pick up the win.

Dolph Ziggler confronts Shinsuke Nakamura

The Show Off is out first to a chorus of boos, who is followed by the insanely over King of Strong Style, now known as The Artist, Shinsuke Nakamura.

Nakamura challenges Ziggler to match tonight, but The Show Off effectively turns him down. Ziggler instead demands a match against the Japenese Icon at Backlash. Ziggler attacks Nakamura and ends the segment on a high.

The Fashion Police vs. The Ascension

The no.1 contenders to the WWE SmackDown Tag Team Championship make quick work of the neglected team of Konor and Viktor. The Usos came out and interrupt Fandango and Breeze after the match.

Main Event: Randy Orton, Sami Zayn, and AJ Styles vs. Baron Corbin, Kevin Owens and Jinder Mahal

The main event of the night has a dream pairing in Orton and Styles with the effervescent presence of Sami Zayn by their side go up against the heels. This is quite an entertaining six-man tag team match as expected with the heels controlling the pace of the match really well.

The match takes a brutal turn as Corbin busts Zayn open.

The match ends with Jinder Mahal pinning WWE Champion Randy Orton.

Dolph Ziggler and Shinsuke Nakamura work another dark match with the 2-time NXT Champion coming out on top again. In what is a welcome sign for the WWE, the fans in London have stayed back for 205 Live. Says a lot about the fans in London. Kudos!
