The closed alpha of the new Super Hero PvP shooter title, Marvel Rivals, has left Valorant players in dismay as the former allows players to rewatch their previous matches. Many players on Reddit have expressed that Riot Games' 5v5 tactical shooter title can be improved if the developers implement this feature. Some have said it can be game-changing as it will assist players in catching cheaters.

Replying to the post, Reddit user peerawitppr stated the feature will definitely be able to help players catch cheaters. Additionally, they said it will allow content creators to make higher-quality videos.

“It will definitely help catch cheaters. People can go watch if it's just a fluke, if it's their own mistake, or if there's any inhuman flick/obvious wall hack. Help players learn their mistakes, or learn the other team's tactics. Content creators can use it to create higher quality videos. People can also save their insane play after match, and without external programs.”

Another user, AbsentMindedMonkey, expressed they usually record themselves while playing Valorant to improve, but that is only a part of the situation. They said they wanted to know what the enemies were doing and if they were playing suspiciously.

They also explained that in many situations, their perspective doesn't give them complete information, and they end up guessing. If the developers add a match replay feature, it will allow them to know every aspect.

“There's many situations where my perspective doesn't provide the full information, and I can only guess. A replay system allows for me to KNOW these things”

Redditor zuttomayonaka commented:

“catch cheaters, watch own mistake. it's better when you can watch enemy perspective and switching between them. without replay someone just treat vanguard like supreme god lmao. sometimes i found obviously cheater and 5 reports do nothing”

User seventysevenpenguins shared their opinion about the replay feature. They stated the game is lacking in almost every aspect and should have a replay system.

“Yes, valorant should have s replay system and an arena mode, it's currently lacking in almost every aspect when it comes to trying to improve you'd expect from a game that was made with infinite resources to specifically be an esports game”

IllogicalCounting cheerfully expressed their thoughts and stated that they would use the feature to show their friends some of their cool plays.

“Show my friends my cool plays, and watch others POV of my performance to see what I do wrong”

Should Riot Games add a match replay system in Valorant?

The developer of this free-to-play first-person shooter title should definitely add a match replay system/feature. Apart from catching cheaters, it will drastically help players improve their skills by reviewing their past matches and pointing out what mistakes they made.

CS2 also has this match replay system that allows the players to download the VOD (Video on Demand) of their desired match to spectate themselves or any player in it. Similarly, CS:GO also had an Overwatch feature that allowed players to watch a pre-recorded VOD of a player suspected of cheating and help the developers sanction the ban.
