Type Soul, the popular Bleach-inspired Roblox experience is an extensive roleplaying game with complex race-specific progression systems. Perhaps the most intricate of them all, Divisions are the main way a Shinigami player can strengthen their avatar.

With 13 Divisions to join, there is no shortage of ways to improve your overall grade in this Roblox experience. After joining a Division, prove your worth to its Captain and complete a quest to qualify for the role. After that, your role as a member will officially begin.

In this guide, we’ll explore how Divisions work in Type Soul and answer a few common queries along the way.

Divisions and The Grade System

Type Soul includes a ranking system called Grades, which indicates the strength of a Shinigami. Each Shinigami player starts the game at Grade 5, the base level of the game. Rising through the grades to reach Grade 2 requires EXP through quests and missions, which is where Divisions tie into the Grade system.

Division missions are the main way players can improve their overall rankings. These missions are offered to the player through mission boards and Division Captains, who can be found at various locations in the headquarters. Completing missions will improve their ranking, which paves the way to high-level play.

Certain Division quests and raids are more beneficial for improving your Grave than others. The best example of this is Division 12, which is the best way to rank up from Semi-Grade 2 to Grade 2.

How To Join A Division in Type Soul

Joining a Division is a simple matter of finding a Captain and completing an introductory quest for them. While that seems simple enough, note that this Roblox experience does not include a map, which complicates the process of finding a Division Captain.

This can be solved to a degree by using the comma key, bringing up various important location markers on the screen. Approach a marker, find the Captain in the area, and interact with them. You will be prompted with a question asking whether you wish to join the Division or not.

Once you respond with “Yes,” the Captain will send you on a quest to prove your worth to the Division. Listed below are all the quests you must complete to join a Division.

Division 1: Reach the Menos Forest in Hueco Mundo to collect Shadows.
Division 2: Scour the Soul Society to hunt down and kill Arrancar NPCs.
Division 3: Direct Lost Souls to the checkpoint in Rukon.
Division 4: Heal other players in Soul Society.
Division 5: Go to Karakura Town, use Hollow Bait, and slay any Hollow NPCs that spawn in the area.
Division 6: Interact with the checkpoints scattered across Karakura Town.
Division 7: Interact with the checkpoints scattered across Soul Society.
Division 8: Go to Hueco Mundo, use Hollow Bait, and slay any Hollow NPCs that spawn in the area.
Division 9: Interact with the checkpoints scattered across Soul Society. Do so without stopping, as this quest is on a timer.
Division 10: Go to the highlighted areas in Hueco Mundo to kill Hollow NPCs.
Division 11: Participate in a sparring session with other players around Soul Society.
Division 12: Play a rhythm game that is similar to Osu!
Division 13: Go to the Castle in Hueco Mundo and interact with the checkpoints before the timer runs out.

How To Leave A Division in Type Soul

Leaving your Division is as simple as talking to the NPC called Khaotxc near the Soul Society entrance. There is no limit to the number of times you can join or leave a Division, so feel free to experiment.
