AEW has become one of the frontrunners in the wrestling industry, and the company's growth in the last four years has been astounding. They have once again added an important member to their backstage crew, former long-time WWE employee and Vice President of Communications Adam Hopkins.

PWInsider was the first to drop the news on the new signing by the Jacksonville-based promotion. They reported that Hopkins was backstage at the Dynamite tapings in St Louis, Missouri. During his tenure with WWE, Hopkins held several titles, including Manager of Media Relations, Director of Communications, and Senior Manager, Public Relations and Corporate Communication.

In his podcast Talk is Jericho, the AEW star hosted Rafael Morffi, the Vice President of Live Events and Touring at AEW. The two talked about the company's backstage staff and personnel. During the chat with The Ocho, Morffi confirmed Hopkins' arrival at the company, mentioning that he looks forward to working with Hopkins.

"We have a great asset coming here too from WWE, he was there forever, Adam Hopkins. I look forward to working with Adam in terms of getting the local word out in these markets." [H/T POST Wrestling]

Although the official title of Hopkins is yet to be announced, one can expect this to be close to his previous work in WWE. This included running media and PR.

WWE legend expressed dismay towards Tony Khan's running of AEW

AEW has some ongoing predicaments, mostly surrounding CM Punk, and WWE legend Dutch Mantell gave his thoughts regarding the situation.

Questions have risen over Punk's involvement in the new show, AEW Collision, as the negotiations have reportedly come to a halt due to Ace Steel not being allowed to come back to the promotion. He was also removed from the Warner Bros. Discovery press release and clarified not to be associated with the new show.

Mantell expressed his reactions to the situation, saying how Tony Khan has to quickly get on top of things as he is the boss of the company.

"Tony Khan, if he goes and agrees with CM Punk and hires Ace Steel back, well, that's gonna piss off the brothers. That may piss off Omega ..... Tony, I'll go back and say that he needs to start being a boss," Mantell said.
