This past week's AEW Dynamite was one of the most important shows in the company's history. Unfortunately, the show did not perform well in the ratings as it was one of the lowest record-setting ratings in Dynamite's history. The fans shared their reactions on social media and believe that NXT will soon surpass Dynamite.

All Elite Wrestling held their Dynasty PPV event last Sunday where we saw the surprising return of Jack Perry. Swerve Strickland also made headlines after defeating Samoa Joe to become the AEW World Champion. This Wednesday's Dynamite was the fallout from the PPV which many hoped would be watched by a lot of fans however that did not seem to be the case.

The company also seemingly started a new angle on the show featuring the All-Elite CEO Tony Khan, Jack Perry, Kazuchika Okada, and Nicholas & Matthew Jackson. Khan reinstated Jack Perry to the Jacksonville-based promotion however was later ambushed by Perry and The Young Bucks who destroyed Tony Khan with the TK Driver to end the show.

On Twitter/X, a user shared Dynamite's ratings where it was revealed that the show was viewed by 683k fans:

"The ratings are in: AEW Dynamite 683,000 viewers P18-49: 0.23"

The fans reacted to the above post and claimed that WWE NXT will surpass Dynamite in the coming weeks:

"But wait the Young Bucks were right They are changing the game lol NXT will soon pass them"

Tony Khan recently spoke about potentially stepping away from AEW's creative

Tony Khan is the CEO and Head of Creative in All Elite Wrestling. Khan has surrounded himself with talented stars in the creative team like Bryan Danielson, Dean Malenko, QT Marshall, and more.

Speaking on the recent AEW Dynasty Media call, Tony Khan revealed that he's enjoying his current position in the creative team however hinted at stepping down by acknowledging that nobody lasts forever:

"I… would certainly at some point, you know, we’d have to see where we’re at. I think with all positions, you know, nobody lasts forever and eventually that’s something, you know, with any position in any of the organizations I’m in, that will be a reality. I think whether it’s the Jaguars or Fulham or AEW or True Media, you know, I won’t be here forever... And you know, I take it year to year, moment to moment and I’m really loving what we’re doing right now. I’m only 41 years old and I feel like the company is in a really strong place," said Tony Khan. [H/T - EWrestling News]

Tony Khan was brutally ambushed by The Elite on this past week's AEW Dynamite. It will be interesting to see if Khan confronts The Elite on next week's show.
