Jackson Thomas "Buddy" Boeheim is a professional American basketball player who plays as a shooting guard in the USA Division II basketball league for the Oklahoma City Blue as of March 2025. Boeheim attended the University of Syracuse and played college basketball for the Syracuse Orange men's basketball team. As a senior, he had his career-best season with 19.2 points, 3.4 rebounds, and 3.2 assists per game over 32 games. Boeheim was named to the First Team All-ACC in 2022.

Boeheim went undrafted in the 2022 NBA draft but joined the Detroit Pistons on a two-way contract. As of March 27, 2025, he has played 20 NBA games, averaging 2.5 points, 0.8 rebounds, and 0.4 assists. On October 25, 2024, he signed with the Oklahoma City Blues. As of March 27, 2025, Boeheim has appeared in 73 NBA G League games with the City Blues, scoring 1,005 points, grabbing 255 rebounds, and dishing out 130 assists.

As of March 2025, before becoming a special assistant to the athletic director at Syracuse University, he was the head coach of the Syracuse Orange men's basketball team from 1976 till 2023. As a head coach, he has put his name on one NCAA Division I tournament in 2003, 5 NCAA Regionals—Final Four, 10 Big East regular seasons, 5 Big East tournaments, and one ECAC tournament in 1977. He has also represented the United States as an assistant coach in various international and Olympic tournaments. Boeheim last acted as an assistant coach for the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Summer Olympics, where America won the gold medal. In 2010, he was named to the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame. As of March 2025, James Arthur Boeheim Jr. is 80 years old.
