D’Angelo Russell has proved himself as one of the best shooters currently in the league. His off-the-dribble jump shot over the tall defenders and a variety of crossovers are his most often used skills.

Russell went to Ohio State where he played his college basketball on the Buckeye's team. He played there for one season, averaging 19 points and 6 rebounds per game. He scored several triple-doubles and became the only freshman to do so. After the completion of his first year, he decided to declare for the 2015 NBA draft and was unexpectedly picked by the Los Angeles Lakers as the second overall choice, which was an achievement for a freshman.

Russell's journey for the LA Lakers remained for two seasons. In his rookie year, Russell showed his versatile gameplay and imprinted his image as a potential player. He posted 1,300 points, 400 rebounds, and 400 assists, becoming the fourth player holding this record. His stellar play earned him a spot in the NBA All-Rookie First team.

In 2019, Russell was traded to the Brooklyn Nets in exchange for Brook Lopez. This season Russell played his first All-Star game and helped the Nets to qualify for the playoffs, by averaging 21.1 points, 3.9 rebounds, and 7 assists. Plus, he also had an excellent shooting percentage of 43.4%. This is his career-best stats in a season until now.

Later, after spending one year with the Warriors and two with the Minnesota Timberwolves, he returned to the Los Angeles Lakers in 2023. He got the starting role with the Lakers and he made full use of it by scoring an average of 17.4 points and 6.1 assists in the 2022-23 season.
