Draymond Green’s infamous punch on Jordan Poole has been one of the biggest stories of the 2022-23 NBA season. The 6 ‘6 forward landed a punch on Warriors guard Jordan Poole in training camp that possibly changed the trajectory of the entire season. While the Warriors tried to downplay the situation by handling it internally, once the video of the punch got leaked out, things got out of hand, and the Warriors had to suspend Draymond Green. So the question needs to be asked as to why Draymond Green punched Jordan Poole in the first place.

While the punch was something that was displayed out in public for scrutiny, there have been multiple reports claiming that the altercation between Green and Poole was something that had been building up for a while. As tensions ramped up and a few words were spoken that were not kind, things got physical real quick as Green punched Poole in the jaw. Luckily, Poole was not injured by the punch and played all 82 games for the Warriors in the 2022-23 NBA season. The incident on October 5, 2022, created a negative atmosphere in and around the team.
