Giannis Sina Ugo Antetokounmpo, known as Giannis Antetokounmpo, is a Greek-Nigerian professional basketball player who plays power forward/center for the Milwaukee Bucks as of February 2025. He started his professional playing career in 2011 for the Enosi Filathlitikou Athlitikou Omilou Zografou, a Greek professional basketball club that participates in the Greek B Basket League. Antetokounmpo averaged 9.5 points, 5.0 rebounds and 1.4 assists per game in 26 games, according to Proballers.

Antetokounmpo was selected by the Bucks as the 15th overall pick in the first round of the 2013 NBA Draft. He has played 12 years for the Bucks as of February 19, 2025, scoring 19,804, grabbing 8,231, and making 4,096 assists in 833 games, according to Sports Reference. In 2021, Antetokounmpo won the NBA Championship and was named the Finals MVP. He was named the NBA Most Valuable Player in 2019 and 2020. Antetokounmpo was named an NBA All-Star nine times from 2017 to 2025 as of February 2025.

Internationally, Giannis Antetokounmpo represents Greece and plays for the Greek men's national basketball team as of February 2025. In 2013, he was named to the Under-20 European Championship Men - DIVISION A, his first international championship for the Greek national team. Antetokounmpo competed in the FIBA Basketball World Cup in 2014, the EuroBasket in 2015, and the FIBA Qualifying Tournament in 2016. Additionally, he participated in the 2019 FIBA Basketball World Cup, the 2021 FIBA Basketball World Cup, the 2023 European Qualifiers, and in 2022, Antetokounmpo competed in the FIBA EuroBasket. In 2024, he played in the FIBA Olympic Qualifying Tournament in Greece, where he averaged 22.7 points per game in three games, helping his team to compete in the Paris Olympics in 2024, as per his FIBA profile. In the 2024 Paris 2024 Men's Olympic Basketball Tournament, Antetokounmpo averaged 25.8 points and 6.3 rebounds per game over four games, where his team stands in the eighth position in the final standing.
