Jaylon La Rone Tyson is a professional American basketball player who the Cleveland Cavaliers in the NBA as of March 2025. Tyson was selected to play in the NBA as the 20th overall pick in the 2024 NBA draft by the Cleveland Cavaliers. He attended John Paul II High School and won his first state championship when he was in his junior year. Tyson was named to the first-team all-state selection and was being recruited as the 34th-best pick by the Rivals in 2021.

After completing high school, Tyson attended the University of Texas, where he played for the Texas Longhorns men’s basketball team.
