Bol Bol at Orlando Magic Media Day

Bol Bol is finally getting to display his talents with better opportunities with the rebuilding Orlando Magic. He started his career with the Denver Nuggets, where he didn't crack into the rotation with Nikola Jokic as the team's starting five and an experienced big backing him up.

He played 53 games for Denver across his three years with the franchise, playing 6.2 minutes on average. He tallied 2.7 points per game. Bol Bol's next stop came in Boston, where he didn't play at all before getting traded to the Magic. However, that move paid off as he received the push he needed to get going in his young NBA career.

Bol's stats have improved significantly. He has played 15 games with the Magic, starting 10 times. The 7'2" center has bagged 12.6 points, 7.9 rebounds and 2.0 blocks per contest on 62/41/86 splits while playing 24.7 minutes on average.

His stellar increase in production has been impressive, especially considering his efficiency. There aren't many centers in the league that can shoot at least 60% from the field, 40% from the 3-point range and 85% from the foul line. Bol Bol is also making the most of his length on the defensive end, blocking 2.0 shots per game.

Bol Bol could be in the running for Most Improved Player award

Bol Bol hasn't taken long to prove his worth in the NBA, making the most of his opportunities with the Orlando Magic. After years of struggling to find a role within a contending roster, he finds himself in the ideal setting to grow as a player and display his potential.

With a positive differential of 10.2 points, 6.5 rebounds and 1.9 blocks compared to his last season with the Nuggets. He also has four double-doubles this year and three 20-point games.

He could find himself in the Most Improved Player of the award conversation. Orlando's losing record may not help his case as a strong contender, but if he maintains his averages or improves them further, that could change.

Multiple betting sites have Bol listed on the odds sheet but way down the pecking order behind the likes of Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Tyrese Maxey, and Laurie Markannen, among others.
