Maxwell Lewis is an American basketball forward for the Brooklyn Nets in the 2024/25 NBA season. The Denver Nuggets selected Lewis as the 40th overall pick in the second round of the 2023 NBA Draft. However, his draft rights were traded to the Los Angeles Lakers, and he signed a contract with the Lakers on July 8, 2023. Additionally, he played for the South Bay Lakers in the 2023–24 NBA G League season. He won the NBA Cup championship with the Lakers in 2023. According to Sports Reference, Lewis averaged 0.9 points, 0.3 rebounds, and 0.3 assists over eight games in the 2024-25 NBA regular season.

Lewis started his collegiate career for the Pepperdine Waves men's basketball team, which represents Pepperdine University in NCAA Division I. He played for two seasons for the Pepperdine, in the 2021-22 season and the 2022-23 season. Lewis averaged 17.1 points, 5.7 rebounds, and 2.8 assists per game over 31 games during his sophomore season. He was named to the Second-Team All-WCC in 2023 and the WCC All-Freshman team in 2022.
