Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is a professional basketball player who plays for the Oklahoma City Thunder in the NBA as of March 2025. was drafted 11th overall by the Charlotte Hornets in 2018 and was traded to the LA Clippers the same day. Gilgeous-Alexander entered the NBA after a stellar freshman season with the University of Kentucky, a college known for producing some of the most talented basketball players.

After a respectable rookie season with the Clippers, Gilgeous-Alexander was traded to the OKC Thunder. He was the team's leading scorer in his first season with the Thunder. During the 2023-24 season, Gilgeous-Alexander averaged 30.1 points, 5.5 rebounds, 6.2 assists, and 2 steals per game in 75 games. For the 2024/25 NBA season, Gilgeous-Alexander will earn just over $35 million. His deal with the Oklahoma City Thunder runs through the 2026/27 season. Gilgeous-Alexander is a three-time NBA All-Star and was also on the All-NBA First Team.
