Taurean Prince is an American professional basketball player who plays as a small forward for the Milwaukee Bucks in the NBA as of January 2025. Prince attended Earl Warren High School under head coach Jim Weaver and led his team to the state semifinals during his senior year. After high school, Prince played college basketball for Baylor University from 2012-2016. He received limited playing time his first two seasons before breaking out in his junior year, earning Big 12 Sixth Man of the Year honors.
Prince was selected with the 12th overall pick in the first round by the Utah Jazz in the 2016 NBA draft. His rights were then traded to the Atlanta Hawks as part of a three-team deal involving the Indiana Pacers. Prince played three seasons in Atlanta and was then traded to the Brooklyn Nets where he signed a two-year, $29 million contract extension with the Brooklyn Nets. Prince was part of the blockbuster January 2021 trade that sent James Harden to Brooklyn.
