Richard Lee "Trey" Jemison III is an American professional basketball player who plays center for the New Orleans Pelicans in the NBA and the Birmingham Squadron of the NBA G League as of December 2024. Born in Birmingham, Alabama, Jemison initially attended Ramsay High School in his hometown and later joined Homewood High School, where he and his team won the 2016 Alabama 6A state championship. He later transferred to Hoover High School after his mother got a job in the school, according to his college website. Jemison averaged 19 points, 15 rebounds, and 5 blocks per game during his senior season at Hoover High School, and he was named all-state honorable mention. At first, he joined the Clemson Tigers men's basketball team at Clemson University in 2018 for his collegiate basketball, where he played in 30 games. After playing for two seasons with the Clemson Tigers, he transferred to the UAB Blazers men's basketball team, which represents the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB). Jemison was named the Third-team All-Conference USA in 2023 and the Conference USA All-Defensive team twice in 2021 and 2023. Jemison was granted his fifth year of eligibility by the NCAA and played from 2020 to 2023 with the UAB Blazers.

Jemison remained undrafted in the 2023 NBA Draft and later joined the Phoenix Suns for the 2023 NBA Summer League. He also played for the Birmingham Squadron in the 2023-2024 NBA G League. Jemison signed a 10-day contract with the Washington Wizards on January 20, 2024, and after expiration of his contract with the Wizards, he joined the Memphis Grizzlies, where he scored his first NBA points against the Cleveland Cavaliers with five points.
