The Arkansas Razorbacks have won the SEC West Division for the fifth time in the last six seasons with Friday's 6-3 victory against the Texas A&M Aggies. After losing the series opener in a 1-0 pitcher's duel that went to the 11th inning, Arkansas bounced back to clinch the division title, drawing differing reactions from fans.

Following the conclusion of conference play on Saturday, which saw the run rule invoked as the Aggies defeated the Razorbacks 14-4 in seven innings, the SEC's official Instagram shared a post with the caption:

"2024 #SECBSB West Division Champs 🐗 @razorbackbsb"

Heading into what seems to be a very competitive SEC Tournament, fans started debating in the comments section. @brileyiii said:

"Worst flex ever."

@wjprappas believes the Aggies will have a higher ranking:

"It’s ok A&M will take the higher ranking .👍🏼"

@hawgdified wrote:

"Congrats to A&M for second place."

@megantrembling believes Texas A&M deserved to win the SEC West despite having a worse conference record:

"Texas A&M wins the West. They are more deserving after they won the series against Arkansas and run ruled them."

@ianb.365 noted that the Razorbacks were run-ruled:

"Them west division champs just got run ruled to loose the series."

@dillan_russell15 shared a similar sentiment:

"west division champs just got run ruled"

How does the SEC Tournament bracket look aside from the Arkansas Razorbacks' winning the West Division?

While the Arkansas Razorbacks were able to win the SEC West Division, they did not capture the No. 1 overall seed in the SEC Tournament. Those honors went to the Tennessee Volunteers, who won the SEC East. Arkansas did, however, earn the No. 2 seed and a first-round bye. The No. 3 seeded Kentucky Wildcats and No. 4 seeded Texas A&M Aggies will also receive a bye.

On Tuesday, the No. 5 seeded Mississippi State Bulldogs will face the No. 12 seeded Ole Miss Rebels. The No. 6 seeded Georgia Bulldogs will face the No. 11 seeded LSU Tigers. The No. 7 seeded Alabama Crimson Tide will face the No. 10 seeded South Carolina Gamecocks.

Finally, the No. 8 seeded Vanderbilt Commodores and No. 9 seeded Florida Gators will clash. The Auburn Tigers and Missouri Tigers failed to qualify for the conference tournament.

Despite winning the SEC West Division, the Razorbacks will have plenty of work to do if they want to emerge as conference champions. They have been led by an elite pitching staff, which should continue to lead them in the postseason.
