Lathan Ransom is an American college football player for the Ohio State Buckeyes. He is in his senior year and started his collegiate career with them in 2020. Ransom is one of just a few Buckeyes to have received five Varsity O letters between 2020 and 2024, according to the Ohio State Buckeyes' official website.

Ransom was the fifth-ranked safety in the country by 247Sports.com and a national top-100 prospect. He won the 2019 AllSportsTucson.com Athlete of the Year award and was chosen to participate in the US Army All-American Game in San Antonio. As a junior, he was selected to the Arizona Republic All-Arizona Team and received the 2019 4A Kino Region Defensive Player of the Year award. In 2018, he was named to the Maxwell Award National Defensive Player of the Year Watch List and led the Lancers to a 13-1 record and a trip to the 4A state championship.
