IPL 2018, CSK vs RCB: Twitter reacts as RCB managed to make only 127/9 in 20 overs

Royal Challengers Bangalore traveled to Pune for their second match against the Chennai Super Kings. In their first encounter, MS Dhoni took his side to victory with a six and two balls to spare.

Both teams made three changes each and Dhruv Shorey, Parthiv Patel and David Willey were playing their first match of the season. MS Dhoni won the toss and elected to field.

RCB lost Brendon McCullum in the second over of the innings but could make a decent score of 47/1 in the powerplay overs with Virat Kohli and Parthiv Patel in the middle.

But once the powerplay ended, Dhoni unleashed Ravindra Jadeja and Harbhajan Singh on RCB. In spite of Parthiv Patel's half-century, RCB fell from 47/1 in 6 overs to 87/6 in 14 overs as Jadeja and Harbhajan bowled 8 overs for just 40 runs and took 5 wickets.

Even after the overs from spinners ended, RCB lost wickets at regular intervals. Thanks to Southee's 26-ball 36, RCB could bat for 20 overs. In the power-packed batting lineup of RCB, only Parthiv Patel and Tim Southee could manage a double-figure score.
