This particular Pepsi Sharjah Cup match-up was particularly significant because India scored over 300 runs in an ODI for the first time in its history. This was truly an epic match that has stayed entrenched in every Indian and Pakistani fan's mind. It is remembered for the resilience of Kapil Dev's team and an astonishing bowling performance by a giant named Imran Khan. After Imran destroyed India's batting line-up for a mere 125 runs, the result seemed inevitable and fans were resigned to witnessing a rare one-sided India vs Pakistan affair.

However, India replied by giving a memorable bowling performance, themselves. They dismantled Pakistan for only 87 runs and, thus, registered one of their most exciting wins against Pakistan.
