DreamHack in Melbourne took place this past weekend, and unfortunately, several Kick streamers have allegedly spoiled the fun. There were reports all weekend from content creators saying they were harassed throughout the event, with some posting clips to X. After the event ended, the company behind it spoke out on the platform, making it clear that they in no way condone or will tolerate that behavior.

According to several users on X, the event was ruined by the content creators harassing others. The DreamHack event organizers told anyone who was harassed by Kick streamers at the event to reach out via DM, or email, and made a clear statement about future events:

“Those individuals will never be welcome at any of our events.”

Over the course of the weekend at the DreamHack convention, the actions of several Kick streamers were highlighted. The Stake-owned website is no stranger to controversial content creators, and while few of them were called out by name, it was clear that many had a bad time thanks to content creators from the Twitch competitor.

X users Budewy and Owldamone talked about what happened to them. Owldamone just spoke briefly about the “edgy” nature of the controversial streamers that bothered them. On the other hand, Budewy spoke more openly, saying that every Kick streamer that came up to them at DreamHack didn’t get consent to put them on their stream. In addition, she stated that she was only approached when alone, or when with other women.

In a post on the Melbourne Cosplay Community subReddit, user Dan Thanh highlighted some issues they had during DreamHack, which was shared on X. In this instance, the Kick streamer Louiex was specified as someone who not only harassed them but several other people. While Louiex was eventually kicked out of the event, it wasn’t before he allegedly groped at least one person, and made insulting insinuations at them.

Another content creator in Australia, Maddy had a Kick streamer show up during her stream, unwanted, more than once. The clip on her X.com post showed the streamer popping up on camera. According to the Twitch streamer, this happened a few times, and they also offered her drugs, through the Australian/British slang for ingesting cocaine.

The DreamHack team on X in this instance told the streamer that the person responsible was banned on Kick, and banned from the event, though the content creator’s name wasn’t given. While the person wasn’t identified officially, Maddy stated in a later tweet that they looked like Louiex.

Another reason this Kick streamer was banned from the event was, according to convention goers, he allegedly assaulted someone on stream. While Louiex was apparently not the only Kick content creator at the event to allegedly harass people, his name showed up in several social media posts.

This event isn’t the first time someone from Kick has harassed others in a public setting, with streamers like Kizzy taking food off of someone’s plate during a stream and yelling at them.
