Arsenal host Bayern Munich at Emirates Stadium on Tuesday night and club manager Arsene Wenger has admitted that they have left themselves with no option but to attack the German champions, as per Eurosport. It’s a must-win game for Wenger and his men who are looking to revive their Champions League hopes.

It appears as though Arsenal have got their act together and are finally showing some level of consistency in the league. They currently sit second in the table following the 3-0 win against Watford on Saturday evening.

It was another solid performance by the Gunners who played Manchester United off-the-park before the international break, securing 3-0 goal lead inside the opening 20 minutes. All of Wenger’s key players Alexis Sanchez, Mesut Ozil, Aaron Ramsey and Santi Cazorla look to be in good form in their recent matches.

And the former Monaco manager has admitted that his side is up for a battle when the high-flying Bavarians visit North London on Tuesday. Wenger’s side are yet to pick up any points in the Champions League and have already suffered two massive defeats to Olympiacos and Dinamo Zagreb.

The North London club will be wary of Bayern’s threat. The German giants have been nothing but sensational this term, and on Saturday they beat Werder Bremen 1-0 to record their ninth consecutive Bundesliga victory.

“We are now in a position where we can focus really and give everything on Tuesday night,” Wenger said. “I will have to see how we prepare for this game now and decide what we really want to do.”

“The confidence level is there, the required result is there as well, because we know exactly what is needed – a 0-0 is not even a good result. To score goals, we have to attack.”

Wenger further added: “What we want to do is play up to our level, because that will be needed because we play against a big team.

“We feel a bit that the pain inflicted (following two losses in the Champions League) was a bit by ourselves, maybe subconsciously we thought, 'Anyway we will win these'.

“Now to correct that we need a great performance,” Wenger concluded.

Wenger has been given a boost ahead of the match and France international Giroud will be featuring in the squad, having served a one-match European suspension. Colombian goalkeeper, David Ospina is reported to be out for the clash with a shoulder injury and Wenger will be obliged to pick Petr Cech as his goalkeeper against Bayern. The former Chelsea keeper will make his first start for the Gunners in Champions League.
