Kevin De Bruyne looking for transfer away from Chelsea: Agent

Kevin De Bruyne

The Kevin De Bruyne situation has not improved in the slightest of late, despite comments made recently by Jose Mourinho and it seems that the only way De Bruyne sees a solution is to leave the club.

His agent Patrick De Koster is quoted in the London Evening Standard as saying:

“I am going to fly over to London to find a proper solution with Chelsea.

Should Kevin be granted a transfer, I will be immediately on the phone to Michael Reschke (Leverkusen’s general manager). We have a great relationship with him.

Clubs like Borussia Dortmund, Schalke and Wolfsburg have also enquired.

Kevin will decide which club offers the best future for him on a sporting level.”

I honestly believe that this whole situation is such a shame as without question in my mind, the player is a class act.

We have only seen glimpses of De Bruyne here at Chelsea with the most recent being his late substitute appearance against Steaua Bucharest the other night, and that disappoints me.

I personally would have preferred to have seen De Bruyne being given the chance to show what he can do rather than Willian again. Now that’s nothing to do with Willian and nothing against him, I would have liked for Jose Mourinho to back up his comments made last week by saying that De Bruyne will be rewarded for working hard and adopting a change of attitude.

That never happened and it seems like the only solution now for Chelsea is to grant the wishes of the player and his agent and allow him to leave in January!

I really can’t help but feel (if this happens) that we would have missed out on a fantastic talent!
