Manchester United transfer round-up: Bale move agreed, Higuain and Manolas next and more

Bale is rumoured to be coming back to England next year

Bale agrees on a summer move to Man United

Real Madrid superstar Gareth Bale has agreed to join Manchester United in the summer after reaching a verbal agreement with the Red Devils, according to Diario Gol. The report claims Real chief Florentino Perez is frustrated at Bale’s recurrent injuries and wants to sell the Welshman this summer.

Eden Hazard has been tipped to join the La Liga outfit ahead of next season in a world record transfer from Chelsea. Bale to United has been a constant rumour over the past few seasons, including the summer he joined Real Madrid after turning down a massive offer from David Moyes.

Jose Mourinho has struggled to dominate his home games this season and the biggest reason has been the mediocre wing-play and that is why signing Bale would be the perfect start to Manchester United’s much-anticipated summer recruitments.

Manolas was linked with Man United last summer as well

Manchester United continue their hunt to sign a powerful central defender and are heavily linked with a move for AS Roma’s Kostas Manolas, according to reports from Calciomercato. Jose Mourinho is a huge admirer of the Greek international and has asked Ed Woodward to ready a €40million offer this summer.

Manolas has been roped in as Victor Lindelof’s replacement after a deal for the Benfica defender fell through in the winter transfer window. Mourinho is likely to sell both Chris Smalling and Phil Jones in the summer and sign at least two defenders.

Burnley's Michael Keane is also favourite to join Man United with Marcos Rojo expected to cover Luke Shaw for the left back position.

Manchester United want Gonzalo Higuain as a replacement to Zlatan Ibrahimovic and are prepared to pay over £75million, according to Daily Express. Higuain has enjoyed a stellar campaign with Juventus and has scored 32 goals since his summer move from Napoli.

United have been linked with several goal scorers this summer including Antoine Griezmann, Romelu Lukaku, and Andrea Belotti, however, Mourinho wants a leader as his number 9 and Higuain is a perfect choice, according to former player and expert Stan Collymore.

According to Express Sports, Griezmann is expected to play the number 10 role at United next season with a poacher playing ahead of him. Whether it will be Higuain or Lukaku or Belotti, it is up to Jose Mourinho to pick his next striker.

Chicharito is still a fan favourite at Manchester United

Javier Hernandez is still hopeful of making a Manchester United comeback this summer after a series of praise heaped on him by the current manager Jose Mourinho. Telegraph claims Mourinho does not approve Louis Van Gaal’s decision to sell the Mexican striker and hopes he was still playing for the Red Devils.

In a recent interview, Mourinho said: "In the way we play at Old Trafford, in the way we dominate opponents in the way we play in their box, I think Chicharito would have 20 goals easy. Even coming from the bench for the last 10 or 20 minutes, he will have 20 goals.”

Telegraph claims Mourinho has already explored the possibility of bringing back Chicharito at Old Trafford after paying close attention to his season at Bayer Leverkusen. Although the 28-year-old may not be the first choice striker, but he will be a valuable squad player with his instinctive goal scoring abilities.
