Fans have reacted on social media as Liverpool limped to a disappointing 2-2 draw against West Ham United in the Premier League on Saturday (April 27).

The result all but confirms their exit from the title race. Currently third, the Reds are one point behind Manchester City and two points behind Arsenal. However, the Cityzens have two games in hand over the Merseysiders and the Gunners have one.

Winger Jarrod Bowen opened the scoring for the Hammers in the 43rd minute but Reds left-back Andrew Robertson equalized in the 48th. Liverpool briefly took the lead when Dutchman Cody Gakpo's shot luckily ricocheted off Angelo Ogbonna and Alphonse Areola into the net.

However, West Ham had the last laugh, as Bowen turned provider for striker Michail Antonio. The Jamaican headed in the cross beyond Alisson in the 77th to secure a point for his side.

Fans experienced a mixture of emotions after the result, ranging from rage to disappointment, and took to social media to express it. One fan wrote on X (formerly Twitter):

"Disgraceful performance once again, fair play to Gravenberch, Robertson and Diaz for showing some passion."

Another one chimed in:

"Klopp might end up in heartbreak. What a bleak ending to such a wonderful reign. The team isn’t doing as much for him."

Here is a list of fan reactions (via X):

"This draw is on Klopp. You don't keep your best players on the bench. Salah has to start," declared one fan.
Another fan expressed his disappointment, writing,"Another disappointing performance. What is actually going on here. this is sad and things should be done as soon as possible. This is not Liverpool."
"You really tried your best Klopp, will miss you," commented a fan.
"All these players don't have ambitions and zeal. Terrible," another fan angrily proclaimed.
"Thank you Liverpool for handing Arsenal this title. Bottlers," a fan sarcastically remarked.
"Referring to Mohamed Salah's spat with Jurgen Klopp mid-game, one fan wrote, "Disrespectful to the coach, could never be Hazard."
"Only God knows how we ended up like this.." another fan lamented.
"Damn, this Klopp farewell tour is turning into a horror movie," commented a fan.

"Just can't help giving freekicks away" - Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher on Argentine midfielder's display vs West Ham

Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher took to social media to give his verdict on Argentine midfielder Alexis Mac Allister's display against West Ham United.

Carragher started off the post by lavishing praise on the midfielder's on-the-ball prowess but went on to criticize his tendency to dive into foul challenges. He wrote:

"MacAllister is very similar to Thiago, quality on the ball but just can’t help giving free kicks away!"

The Reds' season has completely fallen apart in recent weeks. They were harboring dreams of winning an unprecedented quadruple (Europa League, Premier League, FA Cup and Carabao Cup) but are likely going to end up with only the Carabao Cup.

The Merseyside outfit will be hoping to put the disastrous end to this season behind them and move on with optimism. With Feyenoord manager Arne Slot expected to take over from Jurgen Klopp, Liverpool fans will be hoping that the Dutchman can usher in a new, successful era at the club.
