Andrelecht striker Dieumerci Mbokani has agreed on a move to Ukranian side Dynamo Kiev. The Democratic Republic of Congo striker was instrumental role in Andrelecht’s successive title wins, scoring 34 goals in 53 games for Belgian side in the last two seasons. Premier league sides West Brom, Swansea and Liverpool were rumoured to be interested in the striker but the Ukranian outfit have moved in quickly to secure his services

“I am delighted, it is another adventure and one I am excited about.

“I am coming here to improve and score as many goals as I can. Kiev are a huge club in this part of the world and a big name in Europe.” , the striker said after completing his move.

Mbokani spoke of his desire to play in the Premier League and that failure to meet the asking price by the Premier League clubs meant that he had to look for other options.

“My ambition was to go to England but the teams interested were not ready to meet the demands of my club.

“Kiev have shown that they want me more than anything, so that is why I decided to come here.”

Dinamo Kiev recently signed another striker, Dutch striker Jermaine Lens, on a four-year deal from PSV Eindhoven as they look to freshen up their strike force.
