Willian at Chelsea: New signing comes with the right attitude to impress

Willian has spoken of the new challenge he faces at Chelsea and in the Premier League and knows that he will have to work hard to earn a starting place in the Chelsea team.

He said:

“I know that I haven’t secured my spot here, but I will do my best to achieve that place, while respecting the other players.

I will train, play and do my best to get the trust of the manager and of the fans.

There is no doubt English football is very big, with huge visibility. I hope that helps me to be called up for the national team – but of course that depends on me.

I will have to play and prove I deserve that spot. I first have to become a regular starter, then play well and be called up [by Brazil], this is my goal.”

The arrival of Willian and Samuel Eto’o has sparked debate with Chelsea fans all over the world to the question of when we believe they will both be handed a start in England.

As he says himself, he needs to work hard and train hard to earn the right to start in front of the likes of Eden Hazard, Juan Mata, Oscar, Andre Schurrle and Kevin De Bruyne.

However, in saying that, I like what he says and his attitude to coming here. If he does exactly what he says, he could find himself starting games sooner rather than later.

So Chelsea fans all over the world, do you think Willian can be a success at Chelsea and in the Premier League?
