Bandai Namco has revealed a new character for their latest title, Tekken 7. The character, named “Jack 7”, is the seventh incarnation of Jack, a series of robots that are upgraded with each Tekken title. The character looks quite similar to his predecessors except he now sports a green glow.
Bandai Namco has also released a debut trailer for the character, which showcases Jack’s new skills and moves. Although he is slow, his fighting style packs quite a punch, much like the old games. The character now sports a red Mohawk instead of his usual blonde one. However, the character has not changed much apart from these small details (unlike Yoshimitsu). The debut video also showcases the characters combo finisher as well as some new moves.
A launch date for the character has not been revealed yet, though it is likely that he will be added to the arcade version of the game by the end of this month. Bandai Namco has been expanding the games roster since its release earlier this year and Jack isn’t the only character to be added to the game.
The company is also yet to announce a release date for the console version of Tekken 7, but hopefully they will reveal this soon. Tekken 7 arcade cabinets are available now at arcades across the globe. Check out Jack 7’s debut trailer below:
