The Mortal Kombat X Last-Gen versions cancelled?

Mortal Kombat X

Mortal Kombat X is less than a month away from hitting the stores and the playable rosters are filling up rather fast, with the latest additions coming in yesterday in the much teased Johnny Cage and Sonya Blade. The Cage Family Centric trailer shows a lot of blood and comedy, but misses out on something towards the end of the trailer.

When we reach the end of the latest Mortal Kombat X trailer we see the platforms that the game will be available on. A big disappointment as PS3 and Xbox are not in the list of consoles. The list includes PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Steam, iOS App Store, and the Google Play Store.

It may be possible that NetherRealm Studios just decided to cut them from the trailers as they might have wanted to advertise the platforms that the game will be hitting on April 14. However, most of the times we see all the platforms being listed out in the trailers.

As the next-gen consoles start to roll in, we are seeing that a lot of the last-gen consoles are being left behind with games like Batman: Arkham Knight coming exclusively to next-gen this year. Dying Light is another example of a game that forgot about the last-gen versions. There is a small chance that we may eventually see the last-gen versions but this is just a speculation.

Mortal Kombat X will arrive on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on April 14, so brace yourself.

Update: Warner Bros. has confirmed to VideoGamer that the last-gen versions have been officially delayed until summer. Hopefully, this would mean that there will be a release for last-gen consoles sometime soon.
