Patrick Cantlay was brutally slammed by golf enthusiasts for playing extremely slow at the 2023 Masters. The final round of the game concluded on Sunday, April 9, with Jon Rahm winning the trophy.

The tournament was delayed because of the rain. The third round was completed on Sunday morning, while the last round started in the afternoon.

Patrick Cantlay, who was paired with Viktor Hovland in the final round, took his time before hitting the shot. He played in a group ahead of third-round leader Brooks Koepka, who played alongside Jon Rahm.

Koepka was also frustrated with Cantlay's slow game and said:

“That group in front of us was brutally slow. Jon went to the bathroom like seven times during the round and we were still waiting.”

Patrick Cantlay became notorious for slow play at The Masters and fans complained about it on social media. Some even asked the officials to trade him to LIV Golf for Brooks Koepka. People wrote:

"Can the PGA Tour trade Patrick Cantlay to LIV for Brooks Koepka?"
I’m absolutely gutted to see Viktor eject like he has today and I put the blame firmly on Patrick Cantlay. The pace of play has been abysmal and Viktor is clearly fed up with it. It’s about time officials started doing something about this as it sucks for competitors and fans!"
