193/5 (20)
91/10 (15.5)
JK won by 102 runs.
Player of the match: Tom Kohler-Cadmore
Jaffna Kings won by 102 runs

Well, a lot of things to ponder about for the Colombo Stars as they've thrown away an opportunity to secure a place in the play-offs. Should the Warriors win later tonight, tomorrow's contest between the Stars and the Warriors becomes a virtual quarter-final. So a lot of interesting things happening as we approach the tail end of the 2nd edition of the Lanka Premier League!

That's all we've got for you today then. This is Anurag Hegde signing off on behalf of myself and my colleague Abhishek. Make sure you switch tabs and tune into the game between the Kandy Warriors and Dambulla Giants which is coming your way in just a bit. Take care and Goodbye!
Thisara Perera (Captain, Jaffna Kings): We're trying a few players tomorrow as well. The youngsters grabbed their opportunities today. If we play good cricket, we can play the next few games very well. We're always trying to give our best to the team. I'm not bowling because we've got top 5 bowlers, hopefully I'll bowl in Hambantota if the pitch is suitable.
Angelo Mathews (Captain, Colombo Stars): We were not firing right throughout so we had to shift and shuffle our batting order. Nothing to panic, we've got one more game to go and we have to go out and win.
Tom Kohler-Cadmore (Player of the Match): Would personally like a hundred but for its about getting the team over the line. Its about the two points we've got today and about carrying the momentum on forward.
A massive win here for the Jaffna Kings as they round out a dominant performance with both bat and ball in their penultimate league stage game. It was beautifully setup first by Tom Kohler-Cadmore who scored a swashbuckling 55-ball 92 to take the Kings to an imposing 193 from their 20 overs.

It simply wasn't the Colombo Stars' day today as they first faltered with the ball before putting up an extremely poor performance with the bat as well. They lost 3 early wickets and never really recovered from that. The Jaffna spinners were fantastic as they kept the opposition batters under a tight leash.

With figures of 4-13 from 2.5 overs, Jayden Seales was the pick of the bowlers. Debutant Vijayakanth Viyaskanth chipped in with 3 wickets of his own while Maheesh Theekshana added two more wickets to his impressive tally this season.

It's the biggest win in terms of runs in the LPL and the Colombo Stars, who ended up on the wrong side of that result, will head into tomorrow's encounter with a dented NRR and confidence levels.
15.5 Jayden Seales to Naveen ul Haq, OUT! THANK YOU VERY MUCH COLOMBO STARS! A yorker into the off and middle as Naveen fails to get his bat on time. The bails light up and so does the emotions of the Jaffna Kings. The Kings win the match by 102 runs.
Oh dear! Looks like Upul Tharanga was feeling a little sorry for the opposition! That'll help their NRR at least
15.4 Jayden Seales to Naveen ul Haq, length, outside off, Naveen gets beaten by the pace as he fails to time his cut. However, luckily for him, the ball takes a dip before the 'keeper's reach and it nutmegs him towards the boundary.
15.3 Jayden Seales to Naveen ul Haq, full, outside off, Naveen gets on one knee trying to go big but gets no connection
15.2 Jayden Seales to Naveen ul Haq, FOUR! Short, into the legs, Naveen plays a no-look pull in the square leg. The fielder goes for the catch but misses it as the ball rolls past the fence.
Naveen Ul-Haq, RHB, is the final man for the Colombo Stars
Clever slower delivery! Another one bites the dust and now its just the formalities that remain! Well well! It's going to a be Strategic Timeout. Wonder what strategy either team have got to discuss at this stage of the game! We can reliably assure you that this timeout was anything but strategic for the teams!
15.1 Jayden Seales to Dushmantha Chameera, BOWLED HIM! Length, into the off stump, Chameera gets beaten by the lack of pace, there was a dip in the bounce as well as the bails lights up.
Just a single off that Hasaranga over. The Stars will hope to bat out these remaining 5 overs. Their NRR will be taking a massive hit nonetheless. Colombo Stars need 111 runs in 30 remaining balls
