Dunabogdany CC have won their first game in this competition after suffering five back-to-back defeats! The last time this team had tasted success was back in 2020. The wait has been long but the victory has been sweeter! Oh what a performance with the bat in hand.

Chris Dowle and Rohit Kumar were stitching together a nice partnership after Yadwinder Singh departed early. The duo kept getting in a boundary or two per over and kept up with the required run-rate. They were right on track to win till the sixth over but a slew of wickets changed the momentum in favour of DVU.

However, in the final three deliveries of the penultimate over, it was Abdul Haseeb who produced a masterclass. He went six, six and four to completely change the equation in favour of DCC after they needed 27 runs in 9 deliveries. With 11 needed off the final over, it went right down to the last ball but Dhayfule held his nerve and got the side over the line.

A famous win for the Dunabogdany CC and they will certainly cherish this one. DV Ultimate XI lost the game in the final few moments as they failed to hold their nerve. It has been a sensational contest just as was promised!
