The league stage of the tournament has been a run feast and it shows that the Grundenmoos strip is a belter and the trend most probably will continue in the knockouts. Contrary to popular cricket logic, pitching the ball really full here is the best way to stop batsmen from taking the aerial route.
According to AccuWeather, the weather should in the high 20's. However, there is a chance of thunderstorms and subsequent rains and therefore toss assumes importance.
A semi-final promises to be an epic encounter. Both teams have had a strikingly different journey to reach this stage. However nothing matters here now as a single good inning or a single good bowling spell can change the complexion of the match.

COCC coming to the semi-finals riding on an exhilarating day of cricket. From being down and out on the second day with only one win under the belt, COCC managed to win two on the last day of the league stage. They chased a mammoth 122 against a mighty ZNCC side and muscled Winterthur to storm into the knockouts. Truly a never-say-attitude showed by the team which plays in whites. As for OCC, they had a break yesterday and they are the table toppers. The team will be looking to put this match in the pocket and continue its winning bandwagon.
Earlier in the match, Ali Usman's spell made sure that COCC were restricted to a below par total. Thats it from this entertaining game of cricket in the 1st semi-final of the St Gallen. From myself, Sarthak Karkhanis and my co-commentator Karthik Iyer, goodbye from this game. Stay tuned to Sportskeeda for the 2nd semi-final.
Stanikzai... finishes off in style. Ali Nayyer's 4 sixes in the 8th over changed the momemtum completely. Jai Sinh's catch which he couldnt complete has costed COCC a place in the final. At the end of the 6th over, the match was evenly poised, but skipper Nayyer's Russellesque knock meant that OCC continued their winning run from the group stages. The top 3 couldnt get going, and other Nayyer, Stanikzai and Usman chipped in with useful contributions.
