That's all from the match center for today. Remember, we have a double-header tomorrow. The first match is a northern derby with Rajasthan Royals taking on Delhi Capitals. The match starts at 03:30 p.m. IST! Do join us for that. This is Bala and Shashwat Kumar signing off for now. Good night!
RCB will be pretty disappointed losing the match after the way they started it. At one point, they were 90/0 from 10 overs, and from thereon to lose comfortably is a difficult pill to swallow. With this loss, the net run rate of RCB has taken a further hit. They have the worst net run rate at -0.72 at the moment. They are at the third place in the table with 10 points from 9 matches.
CSK have moved to the top of the table with 14 points and a better net run rate compared to Delhi Capitals. The two sides that have looked the best on the part occupy the first two positions now.
It turned out to be all too easy for CSK in the end. There was enough on the surface for the bowlers if they targeted the right areas, but the RCB bowlers were not disciplined enough. There were far too many loose deliveries and boundary balls, as skipper Virat Kohli rightly pointed out.
None of the bowlers could bring in any sort of control during the innings. Yuzvendra Chahal was the only bowler who conceded less than six runs an over. All the other bowlers went for boundaries, either bowling too straight or too wide. The pitch offered assistance off a length, but the bowlers were guilty of bowling it a bit too full quite often.
Ruturaj Gaikwad once again played a brilliant knock at the start along with Faf du Plessis. The 71 run partnership at the top was crucial to get the chase going. After the two quick wickets, Ambati Rayudu took charge along with Moeen Ali and built a good partnership in the middle to alleviate the pressure. RCB got two quick wickets once again, but just could not impart pressure on Dhoni and Raina, conceding boundaries right at the end as well.
Kohli will be disappointed with the effort of his men on the field too. There were plenty of misfields and half-hearted efforts from the RCB fieldsmen, which you can seldom afford, especially when you are defending a below-par total.
Dwayne Bravo (Player of the Match): Enjoy being competitive. This is the biggest tournament in the world It's about being competitive, love for the game, passion. (Virat Kohli) Very important wicket. Very good player. Getting him at that point was important. My strength is the variation with the slower balls, yorkers, and it worked today. They know what I am going to do. Tried to bowl round, full and wide. Keep batter guessing. (Preparing for the game) Preparation is key. Keeping myself healthy and prepare for the game. (Experience in CSK) Experience will always get us through. We don’t want to be the quickest on the field but the smartest. Happy for this win.
MS Dhoni: I think we were worried about the dew. Whenever there is a chance of dew, we prefer to field. The track slowed down after 7-8 overs. Ravindra Jadeja's spell was crucial at the time. With Padiikkal batting like he was, Jadeja did well turning the ball into him. All the fast bowlers, Bravo, Shardul, Josh and Deepak, bowled really well in the end. (Moeen Ali bowling) It's always there in the back of the mind. I told him that you will be bowling, but decided against it. I thought, more I delay Bravo, he has to bowl 4 overs on the trot, which might be slightly tough in these conditions. So thought to keep Jadeja at one end and rotate the fast bowlers from the other. The individuals have taken responisbility. They have understood the situation and conditions well. Mumbai was different, this is a is slow surface and completely different from Abu Dhabi and Dubai. (On changing the order) Looking at the wicket, left right combination is important. We bat deep and we have left-handers. All of them are good enough to bat at whatever positions they come in. I don't really mind some batters not batting. The top order is batting well at the moment. Bravo has turned up fit. I have told him that batsmen expect slower balls from him. Let them be surprised, bluff the batsman, bowl full yorkers. But the end of the day, he is an ace. he takes up responsibility and has delivered for us.
Most Valuable Asset of the game is awarded to RCB skipper Virat Kohli!

The Super Striker of the match award goes to Suresh Raina for his knock of 17 runs from 10 balls.
Virat Kohli gets the award for the Perfect Catch of the match for the catch he took to dismiss Ruturaj Gaikwad.
Ruturaj Gaikwad: Feeling good. Not very happy about not finishing the match. The opening partnership is always important irrespective of whether you are chasing or setting the total. The new ball was coming onto the bat. We made sure we stay after the 6 overs as well. We (Faf du Plessis) complement each other very well. We talk about when to attack, the understanding is crystal clear. (The key is to) Just try and be consistent, play as per the team’s expectation and situation.
Virat Kohli: The wicket slowed down a touch, but we were 15-20 runs short. 175 could have been a winning total on this track. Our bowlers were not consistent enough with the ball. Too many boundary balls and scoring opportunities. They bowled well at the back end. Took pace off and executed yorkers. It wasn't easy to hit good balls. We gave away too many boundary balls. We spoke of areas where we did not want them to hit the ball, but did not bowl there. The X factor was missing in the first six overs, we could not pick wickets. Those few moments are the moments you fail to capitalize on. This one is a bit more disappointing than the earlier game. We were on top and then gave it away. We will bounce back in the next game and we need to bounce back quickly considering where we are in the tournament.
Chennai Super Kings win by 6 wickets with 11 balls remaining!
18.1 Harshal Patel to Suresh Raina, THAT WILL BE THAT! Back of a length delivery on middle and leg stump. Raina backs away and shovels that one over mid on. Siraj is interested for a while but is unable to get to it, meaning that the batters get across for a single and consign RCB to another defeat!
18.1 Harshal Patel to Suresh Raina, full delivery fired way down the leg side. Raina leaves that one well alone and it is credit to the keeper that he manages to gather it cleanly
Just all too easy for Dhoni. Siraj just served some looseners on a plate and the CSK skipper accepted it gleefully. He must be really disappointed with his efforts today. Just 2 runs required to win now!

17.6 Mohammed Siraj to MS Dhoni, FOUR MORE! Full delivery down the leg side and Dhoni cashes in! He gets inside the line of the ball and tickles it fine past the keeper for four
17.5 Mohammed Siraj to MS Dhoni, length delivery on middle and leg stump. Dhoni comes half forward and blocks the ball down the ground towards the bowler. Ungainly!
