Commentary
Salt Pond Breakers won this match by 17 runs!

A great for the Salt Pond Breakers and they continue to show why they were the champion side in the previous edition. Sunil Ambris definitely the skipper leading from the front as he helps Breakers reach a formidable total while batting first.

He continued to perform with the ball as well as he conceded just 8 runs. He also was the man who broke the partnership between Kavem Hodge (18 off 12) and Salvan Browne who had started to pick up the scoring rate.

As soon as Kavem lost his wicket, Breakers just got on top of the game and strangled the Hikers till the end. Hikers probably needed Salvan Browne who stayed there till the end to start hitting those boundaries which he was not able to do so courtesy of some smart bowling by the Breakers.

Browne remained not out till the end as he scored 37 runs off 29 balls. The pick of the bowler for Breakers along with Sunil Ambris was Ryan John who helped set the tone and pushed the Hikers on the backfoot early in the innings by getting two wickets upfront.

That's it for this game everyone!! We hope that you enjoyed this live coverage between Salt Pond Breakers and La Soufriere Hikers. Stay tuned on Sportskeeda for all the live cricketing updates from around the world. This is Navjeevan Rajput and alongside me, Nikhil Kulkarni signing off till then take care and stay safe
9.6 Jeremy Layne to Salvan Browne, full toss on the leg stump, Browne tries to put this one away but misses and they take a leg bye. Salt Pond Breakers continue their winning momentum!
9.5 Jeremy Layne to Othneil Lewis, full length ball on the stumps, clips this one to deep mid-wicket and takes a single. 19 runs needed of the last ball!
9.4 Jeremy Layne to Othneil Lewis, bowls a full ball at good pace on the leg stump, Lewis tries to smash this one and misses.
9.3 Jeremy Layne to Salvan Browne, full-length ball on middle and leg, Browne backs away and clips it to mid-wicket for a single. Down to 21 of 3 now all Layne needs to do is bowl 3 legal deliveries!
9.3 Jeremy Layne to Salvan Browne, sprays it down the leg side and called wide!
9.2 Jeremy Layne to Benniton Stapleton, OUT! A run out here, length ball outside off, tried to smash this one but missed this. Browne at the non-striker end just started running and Stapleton sacrifices his wicket. And the Hikers still need 23 off 4 balls!
9.1 Jeremy Layne to Benniton Stapleton, FOUR! slower full ball outside off, the batsman gets an inside edge as he tries to drive this one to the off side, and the ball races away to the boundary. Down to 23 runs off 5 balls!
At the end of the 9th over LSH are 77/3. They now need 27 runs from the last 6 balls!

Surely the Breakers have got this one in the bag! Unless Salvan or Benniton just go ballistic in that over! They will also need help from the Breakers as well to have a shy at chasing this down!
8.6 Ryan John to Salvan Browne, clever change of pace, bowls a slower length ball outside off, Browne was deceived by the slower one. 27 needed of the last over!
8.5 Ryan John to Salvan Browne, fast and full outside off, Browne tries to smash this one hard but fails to connect.
8.4 Ryan John to Salvan Browne, back of a length ball outside off, cuts it to deep cover and takes two.
8.3 Ryan John to Salvan Browne, SIX! enough says Browne as he smashes this full-length ball over the long-on boundary. Stayed in his crease and thumped this one. And a much-needed boundary this for the Hikers will need more of this to stay alive in this match!
8.3 Ryan John to Salvan Browne, sprays this wide outside off! another back of a length ball!
8.2 Ryan John to Benniton Stapleton, back of a length ball on the leg stump, the batsman comes down the pitch and slashes this one to the fielder at covers but will get only a single. 36 needed in 10 balls!
8.1 Ryan John to Benniton Stapleton, fires in a short ball outside off, the batsman tries to cut this one but was beaten by the pace. Gold dust towards the end for the Breakers!
8.1 Ryan John to Salvan Browne, NO BALL! bowls a slower full length ball outside off, Browne drives it to long off and takes a single. It's a front foot no ball and a free hit time!
At the end of the 8th over LSH are 64/3.

A really great over from the skipper, this was crucial over at this juncture! This has now become quite an uphill task for the Hikers from here. They now need 39 runs in 12 balls! A really tight over from the skipper Ambris for the Breakers and he continues to show his brilliance for this match. First with the bat and now with the ball! The coming over surely has to be a 20 plus over for the Hikers here!
7.6 Sunil Ambris to Salvan Browne, slower full length ball, clips it to the leg side for a single.
7.5 Sunil Ambris to Salvan Browne, full length ball, tries to come down the pitch and smash it but misses. The keeper misses the stumping as he fails to collect the ball.
