Born and raised in Flint, Michigan Claressa Shields is a mixed martial artist and a boxer. Currently, Shields is signed to the MMA organisation, PFA. However, she is most known for her time as a boxer. Her father introduced her to boxing by using Laila Ali as an inspiration.
