British MotoGP 2012 – Second Friday Practice

GPNow

In the non-improving weather conditions, Casey Stoner came out on top during the second free practice of the MotoGP of Great Britain. He set the fastest time ahead of Ben Spies, who had improved his game after crashing out of FP1. The same goes for Alvaro Bautista, who recovered well from his FP1 crash and set the third best time in the afternoon.

Nicky Hayden was fourth fastest this time, though he did still have a great pace. Stefan Bradl came in behind him and Andrea Dovizioso came in sixth. Jorge Lorenzo set the seventh best time, ahead of local favorite Cal Crutchlow. The top ten was completed by Stoner’s teammate Dani Pedrosa and Hector Barbera. FP1 leader Valentino Rossi had failed to impress in the afternoon and came in only eleventh.
