Andrew Gregory Dalton, nicknamed the Red Rifle, is a quarterback for the Carolina Panthers as of October 2024. He was drafted by the Cincinnati Bengals in the 2011 NFL draft. Dalton was the 35th pick in round 2 of the draft and has played for a number of teams in the NFL. He was awarded the Emerging Player Award by the NFL Players Association in his rookie season. Dalton was among the only 5 Rookies who claimed 3000 passing yards and 20 touchdown passes. He was also the first quarterback in NFL history who started all 16 games even though he was not drafted in the first round. He was named a Pro Bowl Alternate in his first year in the NFL.

Andy Dalton spent five years in his collegiate career from 2006-2010 playing for Texas Christain University. He became the school’s leader in quarterback wins. He was redshirted in 2006 and became the starter quarterback in 2007. He was named as the MVP at the 2007 Texas Bowl. Dalton achieved 2459 passing yards, 10 touchdowns and 11 interceptions. At the time of his graduation, he held the school records for wins (42), passing yards (10,314), pass attempts (1,317), completions (812), and completion percentage (61.6) in his collegiate career.
